Manager of the Quarter

JoAnn Nix

North Baldwin Infirmary recently presented Manager of the Quarter awards to JoAnn Nix, R.N., and Janet Rolin, R.N.

Nix joined North Baldwin Infirmary in May 2005 as director of nursing and directs the overall operations of patient care services for the medical-surgical unit, critical care unit, the birth center, emergency department, respiratory therapy and social services. She works as a staff member whenever needed.

Co-workers said Nix is always willing to listen and help solve problems. She genuinely cares about her staff.

             

Additionally, she oversees North Baldwin Infirmary patient satisfaction team and quality team.

Janet Rolin

Prior to joining North Baldwin Infirmary, she had 20 years experience as a charge nurse and registered nurse with Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

             

Rolin, employed with North Baldwin Infirmary since March 2004, is charge nurse for the medical-surgical unit. She is responsible for providing leadership to the medical-surgical team to maintain efficiency and patient safety, and deliver comprehensive quality patient care.

Co-workers said Rolin has a caring and loving heart and her patients are always priority.

She also performs screenings for many of the hospital’s community health fairs and is actively involved in north Baldwin County’s health care awareness events, such as the Heart Walk and Relay for Life, to raise money to save lives.

             

 A selection committee chooses the recipients of the Manager of the Quarter Award and any employee of North Baldwin Infirmary can nominate someone.
