North Baldwin Infirmary Promotes Car Safety for Children
North Baldwin Infirmary is stirring support for its cookbook fundraiser, a project to promote child car safety. Funds from the cookbook sales will be used to begin the W.H.A.L.E. project, We Have A Little Emergency, which is an identification program for baby car seats and child booster seats.
The W.H.A.L.E. program kit includes special labeling that attaches to the rear of a car seat displaying medical information and emergency contact numbers. This means, in the event of an accident, first reponsders will have information on the child if the driver becomes unconscious. The kit also contains a decal to place on the vehicle windshield to alert first responders to look for the identification information on the car seat.
The first step of the cookbook fundraiser is to collect recipes. To download the recipe form, click on the link below.
Please submit recipes by Monday, July 13, 2009. Fax to 580-1726 or email gena.cash@infirmaryhealth.org. For more information, call Gena Cash, Birth Center manager, at 580-1782.
