North Baldwin Infirmary's MRI combines high relosution imaging with cutting edge software to produce superior diagnostic images for our patients.

With its revolutionary open bore design, our MRI eliminates issues of claustrophobia in most patients - no matter what size. For added comfort, we also funish patients with a CD player and music to enjoy while experiencing their MRI. You are also welcome to bring your own CD.

At approximately 4 feet long, this revolutionary piece of equipment allows for more than 60 percent of exams to be completed with the patient’s head outside of the bore, easing issues of claustrophobia.

With a bore opening of nearly 2.3 feet in diameter, the average distance between a patient’s head and the MRI magnet is almost one foot, providing more room for larger patients.
