Maternity - Gift of Life Program

For expectant mothers who are on Medicaid or want to apply for Medicaid, North Baldwin Infirmary offers the Gift of Life Program. The program is designed to reduce infant mortality and morbidity rates while lowering teen pregnancy rates.

Ask your doctor about scheduling an appointment with the hospital’s gift of life coordinator to enroll you in the program or call NBI Social Services at 580-1735.

The Gift of Life Maternity Care Program offers the following services to pregnant women and their babies enrolled in the program:

• Prenatal Care and Education
• Care Coordination
• Prenatal and Delevery Classes
• Social Service Referrals
• Parenting Education & Classes
• Nutrition Counseling
• WIC Referral
• Newborn Care and Health Education
• Home Visit by Nurse after Delivery
• Patient 1st Information
• Postpartum Care
• Family Planning
• Postnatal Education

Important:You must fo to the Gift of Life Maternity Program for Medicaid to pay for your prenatal care and delivery.
