Nursing Scholarship Available
The North Baldwin Healthcare Authority Board recently announced, for the second year in a row, that it will award a scholarship to a student accepted into Faulkner State Community College's Associate Degree Registered Nursing Program.
The scholarship award of up to $6,000 is to help cover tuition, fees and books for each semester. In addition to the financial support, the nursing student will receive clinical training at North Baldwin Infirmary or any Infirmary Health System facility.
Students who wish to submit an application for the North Baldwin Healthcare Authority Registered Nurse Scholarship must first apply for and be accepted into the registered nursing program at Faulkner State Community College.
Upon successful completion of the registered nursing program and Alabama licensure, the student is expected to apply for employment at North Baldwin Infirmary or an Infirmary Health System affiliate and, if hired, complete a three-year work commitment with Infirmary Health System to avoid any obligation of repaying the financial assistance provided.
Applications for the nursing program are available at Faulkner State Community College. Click on the link below for a scholarship application packet.
The scholarship application deadline is May 31, 2010. Applicant interviews are June 16, 2010 and the announcement of the award recipient is June 18, 2010.
