North Baldwin Infirmary Foundation Announces Spring Gala

The North Baldwin Infirmary Foundation is planning Baldwin County’s premier social event, the 14th annual Spring Gala, at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center in Bay Minette at 6 p.m. March 21.

Gala committee chairwoman Phyllis Helms along with her host of co-chairs will present an evening of gourmet food, music, dancing, entertainment and a display of auction items to delight their special guest of dedicated hospital supporters.

The Foundation’s goal this year is to benefit the hospital’s efforts to continue to advance diagnostic services for women and improve patient care. With the proceeds from gala sponsorships, the silent and loud auctions, and ticket reservations, the Foundation will be able to raise the remaining funds needed to purchase a digital mammography unit and to establish a palliative care suite for terminal patients and their families.

The immediate focus is to obtain more sponsorships and auction donations. The sponsorship committee, led by Myron Brogden, has established four levels of sponsorship. They include: $2,500 diamond sponsorships (includes eight table reservations); $1,500 platinum sponsorships (includes four table reservations); $750 gold sponsorships (includes two table reservations); and $250 silver sponsorships (includes recognition in the program). Some auction items have already been donated ranging from cruises to fine dining, original artwork, concert tickets and furniture. To make a donation of merchandise, a gift certificate or service, call auction chairwoman Wendy Smith at 251-937-9288 or Lynn Biles, auction co-chairwoman, at 251-937-2372. Auction donations are sought by March 1.
